COURSE DETAILS :
English is all around us, but we know how difficult it can be if you don’t
understand or cannot join in. For this reason Seda College developed the
English for Beginners divided in 4 Unite.
If you have never studied English before, or need to brush up on the basics, we
will help you improve your listening, reading and writing. We’ll help you begin to
communicate and understand basic information so you can interact with people
from other countries, at work or socially.
In Unite 01 you will be able to recognize words that you have already
heard/seen but never knew the meaning and you will learn basic words that will
make you able to communicate.
1- DON’T STOP IF YOU CAN’T UNDERSTAND THE TEACHER – Don’t
panic it is more common that you think! So, take your time, go slowly (
you can reduce the video’s velocity : setting – speed ) or repeat the
video if it is necessary. Don’t go to the next video if you cannot
understand the previews one.
2- MAKE NOTES ON YOUR OWN – Sometimes the teacher’s explanation
might be confusing you more than helping you. Write down your
explanation using your words, fell free to write it in your native language.
3- SEARCH THE MEANING OF WORD IN YOUR OWN LANGUAGE – As
a beginner student it is ok if you use translator to a better understanding
but don’t trust 100% on translations, would be better if you search for the
word’s meaning on your language.
4- DON’T PUSH YOURSELF TOO HARD – If you can’t understand the
class in one day it is ok to turn off the computer and try it another day.
5. DON’T TAKE MISTAKES SO SERIOUSLY – Mistakes become experience.
Don’t be afraid of write a comment even if you already know that it is wrong.
6. MAKE YOURSELF MOTIVATED – visualize the end goal, and know that
every effort you make will bring you Closer!
